Leica {pronounced Lisa} has been married to her "awesome husband", Jim, for 7 1/2 years. They have two children - Riley (almost 4) and Jager (2). Lecia is a stay-at-home, self employed mom.  She works on 2 design teams: Stix 2 (adhesive) & Tilano Fresco (home decor). Leica has a bachelor of education degree & loves teaching scrapbook classes all over! Leica is passionate about her family & her crafting and would one day like to work in the industry. What’s in the trunk of your car right now? Winter coats, blanket & car cleaning supplies.

What’s the strangest listing in the directory of your cell phone? Home Depot.

Name the top 5 musicians/groups you have been listening to lately. Nelly Furtado, Motley Crue, Elvis, Bon Jovi, Fergie.

What TV series do you record? None, but if I do ever want to consider it, it would be Martha Stewart or Grey’s Anatomy.

Describe your favorite shoes. Red & Black crocodile like print with an open back, high heel.

Describe your purse. Which one? I have a closet full!

Do you cook? What’s your specialty? I definitely cook. I make a killer lasagna, BBQ ribs, and Chinese Food. My cheesecake is a hit but it’s my awesome mom’s recipe!

Peanut butter and jelly.

Most influential book? Favorite book? Influential book – Bible/Favourite book: Poisonwood Bible or pretty much most of the selections off of Oprah’s book club.

If you had to spend a month ALONE anywhere in the world where would you choose & why? I would choose Egypt. My husband never wants to go there because of the constant problems. I have a love for the pyramids and all the history surrounding them, the kings, tutankomen, I’d love to be able to take pictures and study them.

What’s hanging on the walls of your workspace? Ribbon holders & non-stop shelves everywhere holding my supplies.

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is… Talk to my husband, every single morning. He calls to wake me up.

Paper or plastic? Depends, do I have the kids with me or not?

What do you like on your pizza? Loaded, but no anchovies or jalapenos. Lot’s of green peppers though!!!

If I don’t set my alarm I wake up… When my kids come in the room. If the kids are at my parents then I sleep in! Late!

When I’m stressed I want to… shop for shoes & drink more coffee, usually a weird Starbucks one too!

My favorite paper craft projects are… Layouts, but I LOVE mini albums.

Favorite junk food splurge: Lindt or Callebaut chocolate.

Last job BEFORE I got into crafting/current “real” job in addition to Luxe. I’m a trained teacher but quit to truck-drive with my husband for 5 years. (yes, I drove too!) Currently I teach scrapbook classes all over & cut hair.

I grew up in (home town). Arelee, Saskatchewan.

The first thing I do when I have a creative project is… Get comfy, surround myself with my water, my movie I want to listen to, and get out all the items I’ll probably want to use to create it.

I collect… Scrapbook supplies!!! Hoard them!!!!  Shoes, handbags, jewelry, shells from my travels.

Essential non-Luxe craft products. Chipboard, UTEE, cardstock.

Favorite Luxe line & why. Polo shirt, it just goes with the hip and trendy clothes my kids wear. As well as any lake picture. We LOVE the water!

How many years of experience do you have as a professional crafter (teaching, creating for sale, selling, etc)? 10 years in scrapbooking. I made jewelry to sell years before that.

What was your first paying job? Babysitting, then lifeguard.

Name your top celebrity heartthrobs. Matthew McConaughey, Mel Gibson, Tyson Beckford, Owen Wilson.

Tattoos & piercings? No, just ears. Absolutely think tattoos are sometimes gorgeous, went to get one on my foot, chickened out! But my husband isn’t a fan of body art, and I love him more!

Name of your favorite shade of lipstick. Nude, by juicy tubes.

What’s your favorite karaoke tune? Pat Benatar-Hit Me With Your Best Shot or Reba Mc Entire: Fancy or The Night the Light’s Went Out in Georgia. (Secretly, in the privacy of my vehicle  - Little Richard’s Lucille.

How do you order your Starbucks? Depends on my mood. Always espresso if I’m coming here. I like strong coffee, but I do love flavoured espresso too! Caramel Macchiato.

Name your top 5 places you spend time on the internet? My blog, Facebook, my friend’s blog, scrapbook.com, my favourite manufacturers blogs/websites.

Who’s your favorite “professional” crafter & why?  I love meeting the big names of our industry and seeing what evolves their lives to where they are now, but I LOVE the most the down home people who haven’t let success go to there heads. (lately Anam Stubbington; who I’m proud to call a friend, Emily Adams of course; hey I just stalk her! There are quite a few I love..)

Who do you consider “responsible” for getting you started scrapbooking? My cousin Paulette.

What color cardstock do you use the most? Chocolate brown (white & black are close 2nd).

What do you buy a lot of? {craft related} Patterned paper and rub-ons.

Desert Island movies? Guilty Pleasure movies? Desert island movies: action with great love scenes.

Guilty pleasure: horror movies, watching by myself. I love the twisted gut feeling and anticipation of being scared.
